In the lower level, there are stairs, or you can walk around to the back door, down a gradual hill. Right now, I have two cats staying with me temporarily. They are not allowed in the basement studio, but do roam the upstairs. If you have allergies, you can come in the back door.
About my parties: Everything you need to complete any party project is included in the fee (with just a few exceptions). Just bring your smiling face and a desire to create something. Most parties do not require special skills. I choose party themes that interest me, but if you would like to create something not listed, chances are I can create a party for it. Private parties are welcome, and can accommodate larger groups. I can even come to you with some of my projects.

Would you like to give some homemade crafts for gifts this year? Don't know where to start? Have a project you started, but can't find the time to finish? Need some ribbon, paint, glue or other small supply to finish a project and you don't want to buy a boatload of supplies for just one thing? Maybe you could use some time away from home to relax and craft with like minded people.
I've got the space for you! On the last Saturday of each month, I am opening my studio for you to come and use whatever supplies I have, or come make a gift, a project for yourself you have been wanting to do, just about anything!
How it works:

Scarecrow Theorem Stencil

You can choose to stencil either the boy or girl scarecrow in one sitting.
This is a theorem stencil painted with oil paints on a velveteen background. Finished size is 8" x 10" and does not include the frame. Participants of all skill levels are welcome. You will take home a completed picture, ready to frame once dry. Everything you need to create your own scarecrow will be provided, and you will take home the stencil with written instructions if you would like to complete another. It is suggested to wear appropriate clothing for painting. If you would like to stencil both, you can come back during an OPEN STUDIO day to complete the second one. |

The Halloween wreath features a spooky spider center. Both feature a different type of petal, that takes a bit more folding, but is still beginner friendly. |

This bat is a great addition to your Halloween door!
Once he is finished, you decide whether you want him to hang wings up or wings down. Attendees will stencil his face and can add some personality. This project is a great one to put together if you haven't worked with mesh yet. One of the easier folds for his wings. Everything you need to complete him is included. |
Wooly Wreath

Create a wool fir branches wreath, with a large pinecone, 3 small pinecones, 5 berries and a bow. Participants will learn how to make all of the pieces from wool, with their choice of colors. Several ribbon choices will also be available. The grapevine wreath is 12", and measures approximately 15" - 16" across when finished.
All supplies will be provided. Bring a snack or lunch if you like, and as always, there will be light snacks available during party times. |

Interchangeable Seasonal Post Sign

This project can be a one time party, or you will have a chance to come back throughout the year to complete more signs. In the first session, you will stain or paint your post and one sign for $40. You can choose any sign offered each time you come to paint. Above are just 3 of the more than 14 choices. There are three components that attach and detach to the post, and can be changed with the seasons or holiday you choose. The post alone is 15" high x 10 1/2" wide.
Once you have your post and first sign complete, you can come back and paint three more seasonal components for your post for just $18.

More Spring flowers to brighten your indoor décor! Join me in making three Hyacinths or 5 Lavender Sprigs in your choice of colors. You will then have the option of planting the Hyacinths in a tin container , or take them home as is and plant them in your own container. The Lavender will come with the glass vase. There will be color options for the Hyacinths from traditional purples, pinks, soft yellow and off-white, or you can go rogue and request non-traditional colors to match your room. For the lavender, you will have several purples to choose from.
You can make either the Hyacinths or the Lavender, or if you are real ambitious, you can make both. Sorry, these flowers don't have a pretty fragrance, but then, if you are allergic, they won't bother you either. You could always add a bit of essential oils to make them smell like the real thing. |
The mini cutting board measures 3" x 5" and the punch needle design is 2 1/2" x 3 1/2". You should be able to complete this and mount it during one session. This is a good option if you are going to rent the equipment.
You will also have the option to start the 5 flowers design. You will need to own a Morgan hoop and Ultra Punch Needle to take this home to complete. This design is 3" x 3" and is framed with a wool border. The tin is 5" high. If all of these options seem to confusing, email Amy for clarification.

5 Wool Tulips

Mesh Tulip Bouquet

Great for Easter, Mother's Day or just to display for Spring, these wool tulips will last for years. There will be plenty of colors of wool to choose from to make you own personal bouquet. Only two types of stitches needed; a great beginner project. The tulip heads are mounted on a wood dowel with a wired tulip leaf, and measure 12"- 15" tall. Once you start making these, they are hard to stop. Extra materials will be available for sale if you would like to make more at home.

SPRING Stitchery
This cute little stitchery is a great project to learn some basic embroidery stitches. You will have color choices galore for the four flowers, ladybug and all of the threads. The background wool is a light oatmeal color mounted on a green plaid homespun. FRAME IS NOT INCLUDED, but may be offered as a future party if enough interest is shown. Finished stitchery is 8"x 8".
Light snacks will be served, but if you would like a lunch, you're welcome to bring one. Come for a relaxing day of stitching. Learn (if you don't already know) blanket stitch, backstitch, and a colonial knot. We will mount your finished work on a piece of foam core board, ready to frame. This would make a great Mother's Day gift! |

Wool Pine Cone & Fir Bough

This beautiful wool bough will take you through the winter with it's cozy look. Learn how to make wool pine cones, fir tree branches and small berries. There may even be some surprise holly leaves to add.
Once you have fashioned your pieces, you will put them together and add a bow. The completed bough will measure approximately 12"w x 15"h. There will be several greens, browns and berry colors to choose from to make this project your own. There will also be limited choices for ribbon bows. Who says fir trees can be in your home only for the Christmas season? Remind yourself of the wonders of nature without dropping pine needles all over the house. This project will bring you joy for years to come. |

My quarterly porch sign party for Winter is here!
You will stencil your design on a prepared 9" x 48" clear pine sign. Some designs will fit better on an 11" x 36" and I will let you know in an email. Your sign will be sanded, primed and have two base coats of color applied and dried before you arrive, so it is ready to stencil. You can stencil in any colors you choose from my wide selection. All paints, brushes, custom stencils and other equipment needed will be provided, just bring your smiling face and have some fun. If you would like a design other than what you see here, click on the PDF form file listed below for more choices. You can combine designs or have them personalized (slight upcharge). All of the sign choices can be done in any color combination. What you see below are just some color options. You only need to pick the background color before you arrive. All of the sign choices are numbered in the PDF form below, so please take a look there before signing up. If you would like a design other than any I have listed, note that on your sign-up form, and I will email and find a design for you. As always, if you have done one side of a sign at any of my other quarterly parties, you are welcome to bring back your sign and complete the second side for $30. We will put a coat or two of weather-proof sealer on your sign before you leave, and I will share my secret to keeping your sign standing in the wind. |

My newest design, fresh for Fall! I made this pattern easy enough for beginners to finish at the party so we can stuff them and take home three ready-to-use pillows .Even if you have not tried wool applique before, you should be able to master these little pillows. We will use a blanket stitch to apply the basic shapes, then do easy decorative backstitches for the veins and stems of the leaves. Amy will sew the flannel backing on, you can stuff them and stitch them closed and voila! you have a great start on your Fall décor!
You also have the option of purchasing a kit with 3 more designs, a bit more intricate, but still not that difficult, to take home to complete. Special pricing for those who attend the party. |

Let's get started with a Wooly Feather Tree. This versatile tree can be made in any color, but looks especially SPOOKY in burnt orange. Watch for an upcoming party to make bats for this tree. When you register for the party, you can choose to make a burnt orange tree or a black tree (decorate it with mini pumpkins), or any shade of green, gold, blue.... you name it. Match it to your décor and you can leave it out all year long. Decorate it for each season. There will be upcoming parties for decorations for this size tree. |
SUMMER Porch Signs & Garden Flags

Get your front yard and porch ready for Summer! Come make a 10" x 48" porch sign to welcome in Summer or show your Patriotic Spirit! Your background color can be painted white, off white or another color of your choice, or stained. You can then choose to stencil your sign in any color combination. You are not limited to those you see. You can scroll down to past parties to view more designs, or ask for a custom design for a small upcharge.
As always, if you have already painted one side of your sign at one of my parties, you can bring it back and do the second side for $30. Garden flags measure 12" x 16" and you can choose white or natural canvas, then stencil your design in any colors you choose. These projects are totally customizable - make them your own! For the monogramed pineapples, you can put in your last name or initial. |
Patriotic Wreath

Show your patriotic spirit with this Patriotic Wreath displayed on your front door. Just in time for the 4th of July and the rest of Summer. The wreath measures 25" across, and can be made in either Americana colors or bright red, white and blue. The center can be your choice too.
DIY party will include all the materials needed to make one wreath, and the use of necessary tools. They take up a lot of room, so seating is limited, and there is a 4 person minimum, so get a few friends together! You must RSVP for this one by June 14 so I can order enough supplies in time. ATTENTION: did you make one of these last year and it faded? I have figured out how to combat that. If you bring in your faded wreath, we can re-use the board it is on and make a new one for $30. Wool Applique 201
This party is designed for participants to learn the next 7 embroidery stitches used in wool applique work. You should know how to do the Blanket Stitch and French Knot ( Pre-requisite)
First, most pieces will be stitched down using the blanket stitch, then the decorative stitches will be applied: Feather Stitch, Cross Stitch, Stem Stitch, Back Stitch, Chain Stitch, Lazy Daisy and Colonial Knots. You will take home a 14 1/2" square of 100% wool with the above pictured flowers and stitches, using DMC floss and Valdani thread. This can be made into a wall hanging or mat. For an additional charge, Amy will transform your creation into a 14" square pillow cover. OPTIONAL BACKGROUND COLOR: to the right, are four additional color choices for the background. You may choose one on your RSVP form for a small upcharge. The main flower and the flower pot colors may be chosen at the party. Participants will receive written instructions with diagrams of all of the stitches. 4 person minimum for this party, so bring a friend! |

Celebrate Sweet Strawberry Season, or maybe you just love strawberries all year long; but either way this cute wreath will make a statement on your front door.

White Daisy Wreath

Make this White Daisy to welcome Spring on your front door. Wreath measures approximately 27" wide, with white petals, green leaves and a yellow center. There will be ladybugs and Butterflies to accessorize you wreath if you choose.
If you would prefer a different color, you can make this wreath in a Blush color or a Robin's Egg Blue, both very appropriate for this time of year! Put your choice on the RVP form. Wooly Willow Tree

Participants will construct a wooly willow tree similar to the one pictured to the left and can choose which size they would like to make.
The small tree is approximately 15" tall - $45 The medium tree is approximately 18" tall - $55 The large tree is approximately 24" tall - $65 You can also choose to purchase the supplies to make more trees at home to create your own willow tree forest to display. All trees will be made with the green wool pictured. If you would like a different color, please email [email protected] to discuss options. Pysanky Eggs (Ukrainian Easter Eggs)

Participants can come any time to make Ukrainian Easter Eggs, but remember that each egg will take at least 1 1/2 hours to complete.
There is a $10 studio fee, which will include your first egg. Each additional egg will be $5. There will be plenty of pictures for ideas, and actual completed eggs. The studio fee includes your first egg and use of all necessary equipment, including kistka, wax, candle, dyes (at least 15 colors), and more. If you like, you can make multiple eggs at one time. This one is suitable for anyone age 12 and older, so bring along your child or grandchild. You must sign up using the RSVP button below. Paint or stain and stencil a porch sign to welcome Spring. You must RSVP using the button below. Choose your design and let me know if you would like a stained or painted background. You can choose any colors for the wording when you arrive.

Spring/Easter Wool Bowl Fillers

Participants will make THREE wool bowl fillers of their choice during the party, using wool applique, some simple embroidery stitches and embellishments. You will choose your pillows on the RSVP form. If you would like to purchase more to take home to complete, they will be available during the party.
Bowl fillers range in size from 4"x7"to 6x6", and are all wool on the front with a coordinating flannel back. Some pillows include small button embellishments. There are ten pillows in all to choose from, but time will only allow 3 to be completed during the party. Most of the background wools will be as pictured, but substitutions mat be made based on wool availability. Substitutions will be a very close match. You will be able to choose some of the colors for the small pieces from my large wool stash. All materials needed to complete the three pillows are included in the fee. Valentine Wool Bowl Fillers
$30No sewing experience needed. Each participant can choose either Sweet Hearts or Prim Hearts, and will be able to choose from a selection of pink and red wools and flosses to make your pillows your own. There will also be buttons and keys to embellish your pillows.

Many of you have been asking for this one, and although I have punch needled occasionally since the '80's, I wasn't sure I knew all I needed to offer a party. So for the last 6 months, I have been experimenting with different threads and methods and have honed my skills enough to confidently offer this.
Each participant will go home with a Ultra-Punch Punch Needle, a Morgan Lap Stand Hoop, 3 completed Mason jar lid decorations or ornaments, and enough supplies to do more projects at home.
This party will be a pre-requisite for upcoming Punch Needle parties, where you will use your Ultra-Punch Needle and Lap Stand again. So this is an investment for future projects. Poinsettia Wreath

Participants will make this beautiful Poinsettia Wreath to hang on your front door for the Holiday Season! Wreath measures approximately 27".
You can make the wreath from several choices of color, but must RSVP by November 15 to guarantee your choice. Click on the RSVP form and make your selection. You will get an invoice for the party which needs to be paid in advance. Seasonal snacks will be served to kick off the Christmas decorating!

Wooly Feather Tree |

These wooly feather trees can be displayed year round, and made out of any color wool. Participants can choose from a selection of greens or neutral wools.
You will take home a completed tree including a base, and printed instructions in case you would like to make more. All supplies and use of necessary tools are included. There will be a lunch break, so bring a lunch if you want. Light snacks are included.
Please carpool if you can and park in the driveway to minimize on street parking. If weather is nice, or to avoid the stairs, walk around the right side of the house (when facing it) to the basement door.

Cute Felt Birds

These birds are perfect for your wooly trees, or ornaments anywhere. Birds measure approximately 1 1/2" x 3 1/2", and can be made in any color combination.
Party participants will have at least 50 different colors of felt to choose from. All supplies and use of necessary tools are included. No special skills are needed.
Participants will take home printed instructions, including the pattern, wool felt, floss, beads, needle, fiberfill and at least one completed bird. Once you complete your first bird, you are welcome to cut out as many birds as you like to take home to complete, or stay a while and complete at the CraftHouse. Doors will be open until 3pm. Light snacks are included, and you may bring a lunch if you want to stay longer.
